Dining
A visit to Bologna wouldn't be
complete without giving the regional
celebrated cuisine a go. There are
plenty of restaurants serving local
dishes throughout this red-roofs
dominant city, but the concentration
of eateries may be found in the
areas around the university, around
the main plazas, along Via San
Felice, Via Marsala and Via
delle Belle Arte. And despite
its fairly low density of tourists,
international cuisines serving
Asian, American, Mexican, Pacific
Rim and fast food joints are not
hard to spot in Bologna.
Nightlife
As Bologna is largely a university
town fertile in number of student
population, these young crowds
ensure that nightlife in the city is
raucous and healthy to keep up with
their exuberant spirit and energy.
Areas to look out for are the Via
del Pratello, Via Zamboni and
Via delle Belle Arte. The
latter two are not far from the
university, and their surrounding
areas are always alive and kicking
with bars, pubs and cafés
open until as late as 4 am. The old
district and the streets around the
main plazas are also good hunting
grounds.
