Shopping
As a fashion hub of Italy as well as
Europe, Milan offers first-rate
shopping districts for every
shopaholic. The immensely popular
attractions for aficionados of
well-established brands such as
Versace, Louis Vuitton and Armani
include districts like Via Mone
Napoleone, Via della Spiga,
and Via Sant'Andrea. On the
other hand, Milan also houses
stylish boutiques run by up-n-coming
young designers in the avant-garde
area of Corso di Porta Ticinese.
Mid-price fashion houses are to be
found down Corso Buenos Aires,
Via Torino, Porta Vittoria
and Milan's newly founded
Chinatown, Via Paolo Sarpi.
Dining
There are restaurants in every
district throughout the city, but
the famous quarters perhaps include
the Brera district which is
full of lively galleries, small
clubs and friendly restaurants. The
canal-side Navigli and the
adjacent Ticinese quarter are
also awash with many fine eateries.
Nightlife
Nightlife in Milan is diverse and
rip-roaring. The main bars and pubs
areas include the Moscova
in the north, Navigli and
around Colonne di San Lorenzo
in the south. The Porta Ticinese
district is also worth checking out
with its profusion of stylish clubs,
inviting beer halls and friendly
snack bars.
